Description
An Original 1979 large serigraph by Nicola Simbari ( Italian, 1927-2012) entitled "Vera" " edition 60/300. The serigraph features a portrait of a woman " Vera" in a carnival costume standing in front of a colorful wall in vivid vibrant colors.
Hand signed by the artist , the serigraph is finely matted and framed in a custom silvered wooden frame with an antique finish.
About the artist :
TALIAN, 1927-2012
Nicola Simbari was an Italian painter. Though born in San Lucido, Calabria, Simbari was raised in Rome, where his father was an architect for the Vatican. He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma and in the 1940s he began devoting himself to painting in a studio at Via del Babuino in central Rome. Simbari is considered by many to be Italy's most important modern artist.
