A stunning late 19th century Campaign Korean tansu cabinet or chest. The Korean chest features 4 small drawers on top of a two door cabinet offering plenty of space for storage. The Tansu cabinet is beautifully deigned having original hardware and embellished with brass inlay allover. The brass inlay hardware in the shape of a butterfly was common and therefore the cabinet is named after it. The cabinet is made of elm wood and is not too heavy and easy to move around and place anywhere in your home or office. The two cabinet doors have Korean manuscripts on each side adding authenticity and historical touch to this unique piece. The Korean Tansu butterfly chest is a great collectible piece to not be dismissed by Asian art and specialties collectors.
