Authentic rare Mid Century Modern early RAR rocking chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This gorgeous mid-century rocking chair was produced between 1956 -1959. This is an early RAR rocking chair. Original Condition. Features original early1950’s fiberglass molded bucket formed tub chair with arms, raised on zinc-plated steel base with shock mounts intact, supported on wooden rocker runners. Also retains the Herman Miller label. Solid frame is sturdy and comfortable, ready to sit in your family room, living area, reading room, or even the nursery. This is a rare and hard to find piece.
Condition Report: Original fiberglass and base, clean with even color, no holes or cracks. Very comfortable and supportive. Shock mounts strong and intact. Frame is sturdy and strong.
Extra Notes: This is one of the very well classic designs by Charles Eames made for the Herman Miller Company. This bucket chair was made in a few variations, some with padded seats, back and arms and others with fixed straight metal legs, various colors of fiberglass, etc. Many designs specifically made for certain large companies such as IBM.
