A.A. Milne (1882-1956) was an English author, best known for his children's books, especially the Winnie-the-Pooh series. He was born in London, England, and studied at Cambridge University. He began his career as a playwright and journalist, but it was his writing of the Winnie-the-Pooh stories that brought him fame and success. Milne's books have been translated into many languages and adapted into numerous films and television shows. He also wrote several adult novels, plays, and poetry. He died in 1956 in Hartfield, England.
