Description
In 1971 Lodovico Acerbis, together with Giotto Stoppino, began the production of a series of modular furniture, the 'Parioli System', using modules in black lacquered wood (oak or ash) with spacers covered in stainless steel.
The use of steel had to give movement to an otherwise unreadable and repetitive surface. The use of modules in the composition of a piece of furniture was emphasized by the opening direction of the doors, all from left to right, regardless of position. The sequence of modules in the sideboard we are presenting includes, from left to right, a storage unit, a module with four drawers, and two other storage units.
Inside these, the space is divided by glass shelves. The top is also in brushed steel. -
