On offer for your consideration we have an important stoneware covered decorative bowl.
This piece was designed by Jean Rene Gauguin for Bing & Grøndahl in Copenhagen Denmark around the early part of the 19th Century.
This sculptural stoneware piece is decorated with a mermaid in the arm's of a merman which is the cover to large centerpiece bowl.
It's marked by hand B&G, R.Gauguin, D259 with remnants of an old paper label.
