Jacqueline Inez – Artist Bio

Jacqueline Inez is a Canadian artist based in Alberta, whose acrylic paintings reflect a vibrant fusion of architecture, landscapes, and the energy of her travels. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Jacqueline moved with her family to Guelph, Ontario, where she spent her formative years before relocating to Toronto to pursue a degree in History at Ryerson University. Initially drawn to European history, her focus soon shifted toward the arts, with a particular interest in museum management, art gallery curation, and collections.

Throughout her academic journey, Jacqueline balanced her studies, work, and athletics while exploring her artistic side through graphic design, digital illustration, and painting. Her summers traveling abroad—whether visiting family across Europe or studying in Lincoln, England—profoundly shaped her creative perspective. These experiences, combined with her photography, have become integral to her artistic process, serving as both reference and inspiration.

Jacqueline’s work is characterized by its bold color palette, subtle gradation, and structured compositions. Moving beyond direct representation, she captures the personality and energy of her subjects in a graphic yet expressive way. Her paintings often portray the essence of nature, architecture, and people, infusing them with life and vibrancy that captivates the viewer.

What began as a hobby has evolved into a deep passion and artistic practice. Jacqueline proudly follows in the footsteps of the creative women in her family, who have inspired her from a young age with their artistry and imagination. Today, she continues to create works that celebrate her unique perspective and love for the world around her.
