    (4.59 x 7.76 m)
An antique Persian Serapi rug. The Serapi grade is a higher grade in the Heriz carpet group. The rich madder red field is set between ivory corners and displays a tall eight pointed camel medallion with a round rose sub-medallion. The broad main border has a salmon-taupe ground with a rural version of the turtle pattern. This well-crafted Heriz is nearly at the maximal size for this cottage industry and it makes an astonishing room foundation.
