In 1859, Vicenza lawyer Antonio Salviati started his glassmaking business by founding Salviati & C. He combined the production of mosaics and enamels with that of blown glass, becoming an example of excellence at international level. A tireless researcher, from his furnace came refined lattimi, intricately interwoven filigrees, opalescent glass with precious floral applications and avventurina threads. Accuracy and precision, pursued in the past with compulsory attendance at the company's in-house design school, are the historical memory that still distinguishes his production today.
Here we have a set of twelve Salviati cut and frosted glasses with the original acid etched maker's mark on the bottom as shown in photos.
Good condition, fully original.
We recommend a wooden crate for shipping to prevent glass damage.
