Description
Pair of 1950s Opaline Glass Pendants in the Manner of Vilhelm Lauritzen. Executed in opaline matte glass and polished brass. A lyrical and elegant Danish modern design with a sculptural form characteristic of Lauritzen's finest work of the era.
Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the most innovative Danish modern lighting designers of the midcentury era. His refined designs have been long sought after by discerning collectors.
Professionally rewired for US electrical with new cloth cord and new socket with custom period styled 4.25" brass canopy for hardwiring over a standard American j-box. Each pendant accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (lower with incandescent). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from an authorized 3rd party vendor for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy. Please note only one representative example of the lamps shown in the images, but both in equally good condition and present well as a pair. -
