A Set of Four 18th Century Sicilian Polychrome and Parcel-Gilt Chairs, the striking crimson polychrome finish with 22k gold accents and carved with floral and foliate motifs; the outside backs feature broad conforming crimson grounds centered by gold rosettes; each chair is raised on two saber legs at the back and two tapering hexagonal legs at the front terminating in acorn feet; the inside backs and seats of the chairs are now upholstered in C. Mariani hand-dyed leather trimmed with self welting
