Description
19th century Flemish gilt zinc horse head trade sign. This beautiful hand made sign was used by a Flemish butcher and dates to circa 1860. There are still remnants of the beautiful gilt decoration that would have covered the entire head and mane. Some small areas of splits to to the Zinc commensurate with the age of the piece. There is a wire to the back from which it hangs.
This is of superb proportions.
