Nathan Sawaya, born on July 10, 1973, in Colville, Washington, and raised in Veneta, Oregon, is a pioneering artist known for his innovative use of LEGO® bricks in contemporary art. He studied at New York University, earning both a bachelor's degree and a law degree. After a brief legal career at Winston & Strawn in Hollywood, he made a bold decision in 2004 to leave law behind and fully embrace his passion for art.
Sawaya's unique sculptures and large-scale mosaics have captivated audiences worldwide, transforming simple LEGO bricks into extraordinary works of art. His meticulous attention to detail, mastery of color, and imaginative conceptualization elevate these playful materials into the realm of fine art.
