-
Description
Set of 6 Original condition Ray & Charles Eames Side Chairs in Fibreglass, USA - 1970s. Upholstered in a Alexander Girard mill mosaic diamond fabric. Fair Condition. Ray and Charles Eames made significant contributions to modern architecture and furniture design. They were also involved in the fields of industrial design, graphic design, and film. The couple began working together in the 1940s, focusing on furniture design and experimenting with materials such as moulded plywood and fibreglass. They created a range of iconic furniture pieces, including the Eames Lounge Chair, the Eames Moulded Plywood Chair, and the Eames Wire Chair. Over the years, Herman Miller has introduced several variations of the Eames Side Chair, including models with different base options, materials, and finishes. For example, some models have a four-legged base, while others have a swivel base with casters. The chair is also available with a full upholstery, such as this model here.
