Description
Set of two beds in Teak and Rattan by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik, Denmark, 1960’s.
Beds: we all need them! We spend important hours in them. Why not sleep in a Børge Mogensen? The combination of organic materials like teak and rattan gives them the signature of Børge Mogensen that we all know so well. The distinctive shapes like the slightly bent headboard and the rounded, tapered legs give the bed its character. With its straight lines and smart construction the beds are actually quite minimalistic in their appearance so the details such as the pointy corners of the headboard show very well. No board at the feet so these beds are perfect for watching television!
The spiral base of the bed that holds the mattress is still in very good condition and does not show any sagging at all. Also, the 110 x 180 mattress size is still available new online. -
