A magnificent carved pear wood group of the Crucifixion.
Signed: Witz is Johann Benedikt Witz Trappstadt 1709 – Wurtzburg 1770 Germany.
The group dates from circa: 1750/70
65cm high 53cm wide
The group whole over in original condition, still with the beautiful old patination, no missing pieces or repairs.
