Description
A beautiful 19th century French mahogany Louis Philippe style commode, circa 1840. The original removable marble top is in superb antique condition and has canted corners shaped to match the base. The marble is gorgeous with dramatic charcoal, gray, and white patterns throughout. Four bookmatched veneer mahogany drawers provide plenty of storage space. The top frieze drawer is easy to open with a provided key and round decorative brass pulls are provided to open the lower three drawers. The piece is supported on a plinth base and has beautiful woodwork on the sides as well as the front. Cleaned with French wax paste this case piece is ready for immediate use.
