18th Century Italian Antique Wrought Iron Single Bed with Hand Paintings

This antique wrought iron single bed from the 18th century is truly spectacular. An elaborate wrought iron decoration with many curls and swirls. The iron is completely hand-worked, note also the hand-hammered nails. Embellished with golden hand painting that gives illumination. This type of bed in Italy is called "peacock" because the rich decoration recalls the beautiful peacock's tail. The feet end with brass wheels. The wheels are old and original but do not compromise the stability of the bed. The size of the bed is single for one person. Internal dimensions inch W 38,18 D 76,77 cm W 97 D 195. Attention this bed will be shipped disassembled, assembly is not included in the delivery. Please check the internal and external measurements correctly before placing an order. Please note the bed is not supplied with slats and mattress.
