Artist Bio: Randall Stoltzfus
Randall Stoltzfus is a Brooklyn-based painter whose dynamic and evocative works explore the interplay of color, form, and emotion. With a rich artistic journey, Stoltzfus has exhibited extensively, including his 16th solo exhibition, "Widening," which debuted at Blank Space in New York City in the fall of 2019.
Stoltzfus's artistic development has been shaped by prestigious fellowships, including those from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Constance Saltonstall Foundation in 2004. His residency experiences span notable institutions, such as the Ucross Foundation and the Millay Colony, as well as a unique opportunity at an active psychiatric hospital in Perugia, Italy, in 1997.
His work is featured in significant public collections, including the Centro Pari Opportunitá in Perugia, Alliance Bernstein in New York City, and the DC Council on the Arts and Humanities. In addition, his pieces are held in numerous private collections, reflecting his broad appeal and the deep resonance of his artistic vision. Through his practice, Stoltzfus invites viewers into a vivid exploration of the human experience, engaging them with the complexities of perception and expression.
