Exceptional set of four tall ladder back dining side chairs in the style of Gio Ponti, Italy, c. 1950s. Each chair features a high back, with six horizontal slats, woven natural paper cord rush seats, and a handsome leg design with splayed back legs and ball foot front legs, supported by six stretchers giving a simple Tuscan countryside style and warm traditional appeal. These sturdy, comfortable and lightweight chairs will blend nicely with a mid-century modern or rustic decor.
Condition Report: Original wood finish, minor age appropriate wear construction is stable and sturdy; rich wood color and patina, seats tight and supportive.
