Jiminy Cricket Gold Brooch

Price Upon Request
  • Description
Jiminy Cricket was the conscience of Pinocchio in Walt Disney's 1940 film. This charming Diamond and Gold brooch is signed Dan Frere, a NYC Jeweler that existed from 1968 but closed before 1980. Marked Dan Frere ,14K and Copyright on back of pin . Little Jiminy is quite the amusing character! The phrase "Jiminy Cricket" is an American euphemism used as an milder alternative to exclaiming Jesus Christ! He measures in at 1 and 5/8 tall and is just simply adorable. His straw hat is bedecked with diamonds as is his bow tie. In sartorial style, our little fella is wearing a cut-away vest over his striped pants as he carries a cane. He has blue stones in his eyes which we will assume is sapphires and he is even sporting white spats which are enameled. You will be delighted with this little guy ! Weighs 5.3 dwt or 8.5 g
