Set Of Four Bar Stools In Aluminum By Marcel Breuer, Italy 1970's
-
Description
Set of four bar stools in aluminum by Marcel Breuer for Gordon International.Slender, elegant but above all timeless are the designs of architect and furniture designer Marcel Breuer, who has obviously left an indelible impression in the world of architecture. He was rather a founder who was partly responsible for the blueprint of modern furniture design. This set of four bar stools has an elegance due to the shapely tubular frame that is so characteristic of Breuer's designs. The thickness of the tubes is two and a half centimeters and there is a footrest at a height of approximately twenty-five centimeters. Unlike the dining room chairs variant of this model, extra legs have been added to the front of the frame to provide extra strength.Under each seat there are two curved bars that provide counter pressure to the frame as soon as you sit on the chair. A technically simple but essential part that also adds aesthetic value. The double-stitched black faux saddle leather seats and backrests are completely original and complement this minimalist design. The condition of the chairs is good with minor imperfections on the leather and rust spots on the frames. This does not detract from the overall look and feel of the chairs, but rather contributes to the vintage character."
