Delightful rustic Tramp Art wall mirror from the late 19th century in Austria around 1880. Elaborately hand carved out of basswood this over 140 year old Tramp Art mirror comes with a dark brown, almost black looking surface sealed with a nice semi gloss finishing. This extraordinary rural frame shows a beautiful elaborate chip handcarved design. Slightly protruding corners, each adorned by wooden carved applications in the form of a stars , complete the fantastic look of this stunning example of a Tramp Art mirror. The mirror plate has been renewed during the restoration process and on the backside you will find a metal clamp for easy wall mounting. A real beauty with an unmatched rustic flair coming in great restored condition.
