Caroline Benchetrit

Canadian
Caroline Chana Benchetrit, born in Casablanca, is a self-taught painter, sculptor, and designer. In 1996, she made a bold transition from a successful academic and business career, including an MBA and Ph.D. from McGill University in Montreal, to fully embrace her passion for art.
Benchetrit is renowned for her signature “Girls” series, which features life-sized porcelain and bronze sculptures alongside mixed media paintings. Her original artworks have garnered attention and are collected across North America, Europe, and Asia, with exhibitions held in galleries worldwide. Recently, she was invited to showcase her work at the prestigious Florence XIII Biennale, a curated contemporary art event.
Recognized as one of Canada’s most promising emerging artists, Benchetrit’s work has been widely published, appearing on the covers of notable magazines such as Washington D.C.'s Nation’s Capital Rag Magazine. She is also listed as a resource artist for leading design houses like Yabu Pushelburg.
In addition to her visual art, Benchetrit has ventured into animation, creating four cartoon properties for television and the web, which were presented at the Cannes MIPCOM by North American and European producers. Her diverse portfolio also includes branded designs showcased at Surtex NYC, catering to consumer products and art publishing licenses. She is represented by agents such as Image Conscious (San Francisco), Singulart (Paris), Saatchi (London), and Artfully Walls (NYC).
Her latest body of work explores themes of joy and tranquility, reflecting energy-based representations of both inner and outer worlds.
