Description
This Trestle Dining Table is made from cherry, 2 board book-matched top with 3 rosewood butterflies.
The Trestle Dining Table is an early design from George Nakashima. It is deeply rooted in the understated and purpose-driven ethos of the early American Shakers. Their approach to life, marked by simplicity and functionality, resonates in this work. The design incorporates a knock-down mechanism, making it possible to swiftly and effortlessly remove the table-top when desired, echoing the Shakers' emphasis on practicality and utility.
