Pace Collection Dining Table in Brass & Glass by Leon Rosen
-
Description
With the goal of creating pieces of high-design that differed from contemporaries such as Knoll and Herman Miller, Irving & Leon Rosen founded the Pace Collection in 1960. They looked to the simplicity of materials to be the voice of their collection, all expertly fabricated and finished. Polished metals and high gloss exotic veneers were commonplace and to this day remain unapologetically Pace.
A gorgeous 3/4” thick piece of bullnose-edge glass is gracefully rounded at each corner, accentuating the columnar legs while also providing soft-edge safety. This large piece of glass is supported by four brass plated steel legs which when paired with their brass top caps, a hovering effect is created with the glass making this substantial table look weightless. Each polished brass leg remains in its original finish and shows rich patina from age and history. This table is a monumental display of excellent craftsmanship, rich materials, and unparalleled durability. This piece can comfortably sit six people with plenty of room left to spare. -

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
