Set of 4 'Elisbetta' Diningroom Chairs by Giuseppe Gibellei, Italy, 1963
-
Description
Very nicely patinated set of 4 Gibelli Chairs. The wood is really phenomenal as you can see on the pictures and contrasts very nicely with the black faux leather. Elegant chairs that are very sturdy and not wobbly at all because of the smart construction: a framework of rounded wood that is put together very nicely. The chairs keeps its elegance but delivers the quality and firmness that you may expect. That is the also the reason that these chairs are still alive today of course and they can easily last another few decades! Note the nice details in the wood in the backrest where it sticks out a bit to create a nice shape, so typical for the Italian grace in that period.
