A Judy Rifka ( American, 1945) signed lithograph and numbered 81/84 created on Handmade Paper and entitled "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor" (The Ninth Commandment).
Conceived within the framework of the 1987 collection "The Ten Commandments," this artwork emerged as a collaborative endeavor featuring ten prominent Jewish American artists. Each artist, designated as a "Chosen" contributor, was specifically invited to select an Old Testament commandment for reinterpretation through contemporary lithography. The sequence of artists in correspondence with the commandments comprised Kenny Scharf, Joseph Nechvatal, Gretchen Bender, April Gornik, Robert Kushner, Nancy Spero, Vito Acconci, Jane Dickson, Judy Rifka, and Richard Bosman.

Judy Rifka is an American artist active since the 1970s as a painter and video artist. She works heavily in New York City's Tribeca and Lower East Side and has associated with movements coming out of the area in the 1970s and 1980s such as Colab and the East Village, Manhattan art scene.
