Jindrich Halabala played a pivotal role in the design industry of the Eastern Bloc. Following principles of seeking functionality and ease of manufacturing, the mid-20th century style catered to a people eager to acquire high quality and tasteful furniture that showed both the masterful craftsmanship of Czech workers and the trends of a society experiencing rapid change. This set of beautifully reupholstered chairs was restored to show how mindful design and skillful manufacturing can stand for generations.
