Possibly Scottish; each arched padded backrest within a rope-twist-carved show-wood frame with central foliate carving to crestrail, issuing downswept armrests with flowerhead carving; the upholstered seats above gadroon-carved seat rail, raised on paneled tapering legs carved with bellflowers and ending in shaped foliate-carved feet.
