Description
Brutalist "Bonanza" easy chairs designed by Esko Pajamies for Asko in 1960s Finland. These timeless armchairs are crafted with a solid pine frame and beautifully reupholstered cushions in natural toned linen. These pieces are in excellent condition and priced individually, ready to make a statement in any interior.
Founded in 1918 by furniture maker Aukusti Avonius in Lahti, Finland, Asko immediately distinguished itself by focusing on mass production and distribution, as opposed to the custom-made work that dominated at the time. Over the past 100 years, Asko has become one of Finland's largest furniture and appliance brands, with great success in exporting Finnish designs. In the postwar years, Asko produced some of the most iconic Finnish designs of the modernist era.
