A superb tall case clock with a brass dial signed by one of York’s most talented clockmakers, John Fisher. The case is a rare, rural interpretation of high style Philadelphia clocks with a sunken panel on the base, applied carving on the tympanum and a central carved cartouche flanked by carved floral rosettes.
Condition: feet and finials replaced. -
