    ABOUT THE OBJECT

    Depicting two figures on a patio. The border has a decoration of four cartouches containing peaches.
    On the outside also decoration of flowers.
    The decor refers to Romans of the Western Chamber, the famous play about the lovestory of a young professor and a beautiful lady.
    The style is known for it's elegant shape and the blue colour.

    ABOUT THE MARK

    Marked at the bottom with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark.
    The emperor Chenghua reigned in the period between 1465-1487. This plate was a tribute to this emperor during the Kangxi period 1662-1722.
