We would like to offer you this elegant, early Biedermeier cherry four-drawer chest. The piece was made in Vienna circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The three lower drawers set between ebonized columns emphasizes the elegant character of this fine piece. The top drawer slightly protrudes outwards. The horizontal decorative molding under the tabletop is also ebonized. The edge of the tabletop is accentuated by a thin black line of inlays.
The commode have beautiful highly figured cherry veneer with lovely light amber color and 200 years old patina.
The brass hardware and locks are original.
Pieces of such quality as this large, exceptional Viennese Biedermeier commode are very rare and hard to find.
The commode is set on graceful, high legs that give it an elegant lightness.
The chest will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
