Here, the border represent the Bessarabian aesthetics with the brown setting and colorful motifs. The main field makes a bow towards the Oriental tradition by exhibiting an allover paisley pattern. Paisley is an ornamental design using the buta (Persian: بته‎) or boteh, a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end. Originating from Persia, paisley introduces a warm, exotic vibe into the interior. The area rug is rendered in utterly fashionable Living Coral combined with touches of teal, off-white and carmine. In addition to unique appearance, this flat weave is distinguished by masterful execution. It was hand-woven of the finest wool in accordance with centuries-old techniques.
