This magnificent Persian rug dating back to circa 1930 belongs to the Sultanabad type, famed for their brilliant colors and exquisite designs. The main field displays a grid of bold arabesque palmettes, angular vines and floral pattern. The frame contains equally beautiful composition of palmettes and angular leaves tastefully matching with the opulence of the main pattern. Color palette consists of red, black, beige, dark blue and greens.
