Pair of 19th Century French Gilt Armchairs

Beautiful pair of French armchairs, circa 1880.
These armchairs embody the neoclassical style with their elegant rectilinear form.
Featuring downswept armrests and uprights and resting on column tapering reeded legs. With wonderful all over original gilt patina and adorned with carved rosettes and acanthus details.
These chairs have great proportions and are in strong, sturdy condition. They are covered with a wonderfully whimsical tapestry fabric.
They offer a timeless, classical aesthetic that will be a welcome addition to any space. -
