Gustavian, Swedish Commodes, Blue Paint Distressed, Brass, Sweden, 19th C.
Pair of Gustavian style blue distressed painted commodes or dressers designed and produced in Sweden in the later half of the 19th century. Each cabinet having three dovetailed drawers with brass fittings and imitation stone tops. The top drawer features two opposing gargoyle figures flanking the drawer lock.
