Description
Set of 5 “JinJang” wall lamps by Hermian Sneyders de Vogel for Raak.Raak was one of the most important Dutch lighting manufacturers from the middle of the last century, mainly designing innovative products with a modest character. The design of these refined “JinJang” lamps, which were also called “Puntkomma” in addition to the type number C1636, were created by Hermian Sneyders de Vogel. A Dutch designer who, in addition to a wide range of furniture design, could also count jewelry design among her expertise. This set of five lamps are made of brushed aluminum, three of which are copper-colored. The sloping line in the middle, which is reminiscent of the ancient Chinese sign for cosmic duality Yin-Yang, is part of the shade behind which the light source is situated. Due to the curve of the lamp, the light is beautifully spread and remains "trapped" in the shade. A truly beautiful effect.Over the years, light spots and patination have developed on the aluminum, adding character and appearance. Each lamp carries the original Raak label within the shade. The fitting is of the E27 type, a large fitting.
