Architectural Desk Lamp in Casted Iron, Steel and Ribbed Aluminum, France, 1960s
-
Description
A unique desk lamp because of its industrial character, its large size and the interesting combination of various colored metal types. The lampshade is mounted on two slightly curved stainless-steel tubes on a heavy base consisting of covered cast iron. These tubes can be rotated 180 degrees in relation to the base. The most characteristic element of this lamp is the lampshade, consisting of three different rounded parts of casted and ribbed aluminum, finished with an elegant gray-green lacquer. The fluorescent light is nicely distributed and thus providing a practically illuminated surface.
