Stilnovo Model ‘1140’ Wire-Suspended Ceiling Pendant, Italy, circa 1960
-
Description
The Stilnovo model '1140' Italian ceiling light was designed and produced by Bruno Gatta’s Milanese company in the early 1960s. The height adjustable wire-suspended pendant comprises of a cream painted-aluminium dome and a decorative acid-etched glass diffuser beneath. The 3-light fitting within is accessed by removing the curved glass diffuser which is held in place by three striking brass brackets. The lamp retains its aged brass patina and comes complete with its original brass ceiling cup. In addition, it is signed with that legendary little yellow label…’Stilnovo, Milano, Italy’.
