Description
A pair of German Jugendstil late 19th century silver plated candelabras from the Wurtemberg Metalware Factory, with cherubs holding the bobèches. Born in Germany in the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) during the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this exquisite pair of candelabras features a silver plated scrolling structure. Each piece showcases a cherub standing on one leg, his arms raised to lift the two bobèches meant to receive the candles. He is stepping on a delicate circular base with acanthus leaves, his body extending upwards in a graceful movement. Showing a great quality of design and execution, this pair of German Jugendstil candelabras circa 1885 will make for a great decorative addition to accentuate any living room or dining room.
