Description
This colorful painting by french artist Edouard Cortes celebrates one of the most iconic landmarks in Paris, the Arc de Triomphe. This quintessential street scene set in the romantic, magical “City of Love and Light” is painted in a classic Impressionist style. This cityscape was produced circa 1950, an excellent period in Cortes' career when he created many of his highest-quality works, and it is presented in an ornate gold French Impressionist style frame that enhances the painting and evokes a real sense of time and place.
