Late 19th-century English round oak gypsy table supported by three splayed bobbin-turned legs; of simple, yet sturdy construction, with distinct bobbin turning, which was a popular decorative feature of the late Victorian age. English circa 1870.

“Gypsy table” refers to small, portable tables that were favored for their versatility and ease of use. These tables were often associated with the nomadic lifestyle of the Romani people and became fashionable in Victorian homes for various activities such as tea service and/or card games. -
