  • Description
A lone figure is captured running against a Magenta Sky at Dusk. He is small in the frame, with the vastness of nature as a backdrop. This image was taken in 1972 and exemplifies Photographer Mitchell Funk's experimental use of color in color photography at the time. 54 years ago, color photography was under the radar in the Fine Art world and was not considered in the conversation. This image is more than just a 1970s color photograph. It's a poetic evocation of a moody seascape using emotive color. It holds up today decades after it was taken.
The uploaded video is coming up light - use the still images as a reference for color.
