African Futurist Gold Mask Created by Bomber Bax
-
Description
Single African mask created by artist Bomber Bax.
The mask dates back to the early 1900s and was subsequently processed and painted in late 2022 by the artist.
The artist used special metallic paints to evoke a lunar effect and draw attention to a futuristic, Martian landscape. The mask features shapes typical of African tribes. Note the elongated shape with a corpuscle on top of the head, symbolising someone important probably. The mask has been coated with a very eccentric gold paint.
The mask is the perfect complement for eccentric living rooms where art and tribal-style décor are the centre of attention. -
