Swedish Gustavian Style Painted Wood Tea Table with Fluted Legs, circa 1920
-
Description
A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood coffee table with fluted legs and cross stretcher from the early 20th century. This Swedish coffee table features a rectangular top with beveled edges and rounded corners, sitting above an exquisitely carved apron. Elegant floral motifs decorate each side of the table while carved rosettes mark the rounded knees. The table is raised on four slender fluted legs raised on tall arrow feet and connected to one another with a delicately curved cross stretcher, adorned with a central oval medallion. With its graceful silhouette and soft finish, typical of the Scandinavian taste for pastel colors, this Swedish Gustavian style coffee table circa 1920 will compliment any living room beautifully.
