Frances Elkins Sofa

Description
Frances Elkins was one of the most influential designers of her time, collaborating with Giacometti, his brother, Jean Michele Frank, and Serge Roche. This sofa was probably used at the Royal Hawaiian. This frame was used in the “Italian Gallery” Elkins created for the Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco, 1936–37, held to celebrate the opening of the Bay Bridge and later the Golden Gate Bridge.
