    A Rare French Mid-Century Modern Prototype Lucite Cocktail / Coffee or End Table. The table forms an intriguing design statement with its innovative "deconstructivist" architecture and totally transparent aesthetic and precedes the deconstructivist movement by almost 2 decades. The piece appears as a partially hollow form with open columnar legs and open shafts that are held together by steel pins. The hollow lucite legs are closed on the 3 out-sides and open on the interior side and the piece has columnar open shafts that parallel the legs from the top view. In sum, It is a work of intriguing engineering and aesthetic delight. Dimensions: H 19" x 31.5 x 26".
