Two Swedish 1900s Lyre Back Painted Armchairs with Scrolled Arms and Saber Legs
-
Description
Two Swedish matching painted lyre back armchairs with scrolled arms and saber legs from the early 20th century, priced and sold separately. Each of this set of Swedish chairs features an exquisite pierced back, adorned in its center with a delicate lyre. This motif is borrowed from the Greco-Roman antiquity, with an evocation of the lyre of Apollo. The back is flanked by two oversized open scrolled arms with reeded motifs on their upper rail. The newly upholstered seat is raised on four saber legs, whose sleek lines are reminiscent of the Empire era. With their light colored finish, typical of the Scandinavian taste, lovely silhouettes and exquisite décor, these Swedish armchairs circa 1900 will be an excellent decorative accent for any living room, dining room, foyer or bedroom, whether used as a set or individually. Each chair is $1,998. We are also happy to sell them per pair at $3,995 each pair. 2 available.
